Free School Meals

Accessing Free School Meals During School Closures Due to COVID-19

Dear Parents/Carers

This is a very difficult time for many families who are trying to adjust to new working routines whilst balancing the needs of children and their continued learning.  A main concern for many will be how they will feed their children at home without the free school meal entitlement whilst schools are closed.

Any non-keyworker children who are accessing online learning and are eligible for benefit related free school meals can receive a food pack each Monday with a packed lunch provision for that week.

Please inform school via email to covidsupport@iqra.bradford.sch.uk if you would like to access this provision so that a pack can be made up for you. Please provide your child’s full name and class, your name and relationship to the child and your contact telephone number.

Packs will then be available for collection from Main Reception between 11.30am & 3.00pm each Monday through lockdown commencing Monday 11th January 2021.

Keyworker children who are attending school during lockdown and are eligible for free school meals will receive their meal each day when in school.

UPDATE 13th January 2021: The Government have announced that vouchers are to be made available from next week (w/c 18th January) for benefit related free school meal children. Should you wish to access these please email covidsupport@iqra.bradford.sch.uk and provide the following information:-

Your email address (which is to receive the voucher information)
