Year 3 have learned all about the Stone Age and here is some of our learning. We have built some Stone Age houses and made inferences about their way of life. We know how their inventions have made our lives better today and that tools and every day objects were made from stone.
As a part of our Stone Age topic we wanted to make our own miniature versions of a Stone Age house. In the morning, our teachers set us a challenge to make a house using only marshmallows and spaghetti, some of our parents came in to help us! We found out that the houses that used triangle shapes were the strongest! We then designed and made our own houses using sticks, clay and leaves!
As part of our Geography learning, Year 3 have been out on the school mini buses to visit rural and urban areas in our local area. Can you recognise any of these places?
