Reception classes have PE every Friday. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE kit on Friday’s.
Every week Reception have an assembly. We share a song that we have learnt throughout the week and our achievements.
We give out certificates for Star of the Week, most Dojo points and for meeting targets on our Maths Passports.

Parental involvement is very important to us. We have regular parent workshops to support our parents in helping their children at home.
The children went on a bear hunt to Heaton Woods. Do you think they found one?
The children explored Lister park during our Autumn walk. We collected conkers, pine cones, acorns and some colourful leaves.
Every Monday morning parents are invited into school to join our Stay and Play Sessions.
The children went shopping to buy some snack items.
We visited Smyths Toy Store to find our favourite superheroes. We have had lots of fun dressing up as superheroes and thinking about our own super powers would be.
On our visit to the Media Museum, we learnt about colours, light and the five senses.
We also saw lots of different kinds of fish and beautiful Christmas decorations during our visit to ACW garden centre.
The children visited a local pet shop and bought a pet fish for their class! We also explored other animals before visiting Lister park to look at what flowers we could see in spring time.
Pupils engaging in our health day: sorting healthy and unhealthy foods, baking, making smoothies, brushing teeth and making fruit kebabs.
