Delayed Re-Opening January 2021

Dear Parent / Carer

You will be aware from the Government briefings and news over the last few days, that there has been much discussion around schools re-opening given the current high rates of infection. It is with regret that I must inform you that as result of action taken by education unions, prompted by safety concerns around the re-opening of primary schools, we will be closed to pupils from tomorrow and until Monday 18th January 2021 in the first instance. Remote learning via Microsoft Teams will be provided during this time.

Keyworker and Busy Bee provision will be available for those who may need it from 8.30am until 3.15pm from tomorrow until Friday 15th January 2021. Keyworkers will need to bring evidence of their keyworker role (ie work badge or payslip) and photographic ID should they wish to access this facility. Access to the provision will be via Gate 1 which is on Drummond Road (Year 1 / 2 & Busy Bees entrance
nearest to Carlisle Road). Children attending should arrive at 8.30am and be collected from there at 3.15pm.

Our phone lines will remain open from 7.45am should you need to contact the school. Alternatively you can also email office@iqra.bradford.sch.uk

I am sure that this is not the return you would have wanted, nor the one I had wished for you and our children however it is important that we do all we can to keep pupils, parents and staff safe. Thank you for your anticipated support in doing the same.

Yours faithfully
S Anwar-Bleem
