Attendance

Every Day Counts

Your child’s attendance target is 97%+

At IQRA Academy we believe that good attendance is central to a pupils’ academic achievement and personal development. Put simply, if your child is not in school, they cannot take advantage of the excellent opportunities that are available each day.

By providing a vibrant learning environment, consistently good teaching and learning and an exciting range of activities, we will encourage pupils to come to IQRA Academy. However, we will also provide the support and challenge needed to help your child overcome the difficulties in their lives which lead to poor attendance.

What we do at IQRA Academy

The class who achieves the highest attendance for the week will receive a special treat on a Friday!

Pupil’s who achieve 100% attendance over half a term will have the chance to win a £10 Amazon voucher! Pupil’s names are added to our special randomiser. The randomiser wheel will be spun in assembly and the lucky pupil’s whose name it stops on will receive a voucher! There is a voucher for Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 and a voucher for Key Stage 2. You need to be at school every day for a chance to win.

For the academic year 2017/2018 Iqra pupils achieved 96.6% attendance.

We narrowly missed Iqra Academy’s attendance target of 97% but we did beat the national average (96%) and Bradford’s average (95.7%).

Lets try to reach 97% for the academic year 2018/2019!
