Welcome message from Mrs S Anwar-Bleem

Welcome to our Academy

I would like to wish a warm welcome to parents, carers and pupils. It is a privilege to be entrusted with the role of leading Iqra Academy. We are a large oversubscribed Primary School with pupils from 3-11 year old age range.

Iqra Academy is a successful and vibrant school. We have excellent facilities and a rich, well cared for, calm and purposeful learning environment within which all pupils feel safe and secure.

Our excellent team of staff work tirelessly to provide quality provision for all our pupils. We do this through high quality teaching and excellent pastoral care, delivered by a team who really want the best for every child at the Academy. This leads to positive attitudes and confidence amongst our pupils and a genuine pride in our Academy. Our pupils are excellent ambassadors for the Academy and often draw attention to themselves through their conduct and enthusiasm for learning.

The Governing Body invests the Academy’s finances to provide a quality curriculum to enhance life experiences and directly impact pupil outcomes.

All our pupils make excellent progress during their time at our Academy.

We have a strong partnership with our parents and the community. We welcome parent participation in school through various activities.

Our SEND pupils have a bespoke provision and nurturing programme. The care provided to them, enables them to flourish.

Beyond the classroom, Iqra Academy provides wider opportunities through sport, residential activities and curriculum-based activity days spread throughout the academic calendar. We offer a range of lunchtime clubs and a breakfast club too.

If your child is just beginning their educational journey with us, my staff and I are proud to be a huge part in their development at our Academy. Children are at the heart of everything we do.

I look forward to meeting the pupils and parents and building a strong positive relationship to enable the Academy and our pupils to continue to flourish.
